The Fixably Home Screen
This article provides a walk-through of the Fixably Home Screen and an overview of the Fixably user interface, including the Appointments panel.
Table of Contents
The Home Screen is the first page you see after logging in to Fixably. It gives you a quick overview of the work waiting at your service location, the orders assigned to you, today's appointments, and shortcuts to the most common actions.

The Home Screen is divided into three sections: the top section (navigation, search and actions), the middle section (your work and today's appointments) and the bottom section (queues and your open orders).
Top Section
Navigation sidebar - The left-hand sidebar takes you to the main areas of Fixably: Home, Orders, Statistics, Purchase Orders, Stocks, Invoicing, Users, Messages, Other and Shipments. The items you see depend on your permissions and the features enabled for your account. Click the sidebar toggle at the top left (next to the Fixably logo) to collapse the sidebar to icons only, and click it again to show the labels.
Home - Click the Fixably logo or Home in the sidebar to return to the Home Screen from any other part of Fixably.
Universal Search Bar - The Universal Search Bar allows you to search for a wide variety of information within Fixably quickly:
- Device information (serial number, IMEI, part number and others)
- Customer information (name, phone number, email address)
- Order information (order number, repair ID, tracking numbers and others)
A complete list of search prefixes is available by clicking the ? to the right of the Universal Search Bar. Click a prefix in the list to add it to the search bar.

When you enter a valid device serial number in the Universal Search Bar, you'll be able to view previous order history or create a new order quickly. If you have an open order associated with that serial number, you'll automatically be taken to it. If you have an active OEM integration (GSX), Fixably will also present you with additional information about the device, including its warranty status and spare parts list.
Please note that for non-Apple products, the Universal Search Bar may require a search prefix. For example:
partNumber: ASC147CL
User Name Menu - Click your name at the top right to open the user menu. It provides quick access to the following:
- User Settings
- System Settings *
- Switch to dark mode / Switch to light mode
- Notifications
- Alarms
- Help (opens this knowledge base)
- Change Log
- Suggestions
- Support Ticket
- About Fixably
- Log out
* Available to admin users

Action buttons - The buttons next to the Orders heading are shortcuts to the most common tasks:

New order - Create a new service order.
New customer - Create a new customer profile.
Find product - Search for a product (an item, a module, a service).
New product - Add a new product to the catalogue.
Macros - Run a guided workflow designed to make a process faster and more consistent, such as checking in an iOS device. The Macros button is shown when your account has macros configured for the Home Screen.
Export orders - Export orders as a CSV or XLSX file.
Middle Section

Next order available at service location - Displays the oldest order received at your service location that has not yet been assigned to a technician. A technician can review the order and take it by clicking View order and then Take assignment.
My orders - Displays notifications related to the orders assigned to you.
Summary - An overview of the total number of orders assigned to you and the number of orders in the queue at your service location.
Appointments - Lists the appointments booked for today at the selected service location, so the front desk can see who is expected and when. Appointments booked for an earlier day that have not yet been received are also listed, so nothing is missed.

- Location - Use the drop-down at the top of the panel to view the appointments of another service location. The panel opens on your own service location.
- Order - Click the order number to open the order the appointment belongs to.
- Appointment time - The scheduled date and start time of the visit.
- Customer name - The customer who booked the appointment.
- Is late - A red dot means the appointment time has passed and the customer has not been received yet. A dash means the appointment is still upcoming.
- See more - Opens the Appointment Manager list view, filtered to the selected location, where you can search and filter all appointments.
Click anywhere on an appointment row to open the appointment details in a side panel without leaving the Home Screen. From the panel you can Receive the customer when they arrive (which takes you to the order), Send reminder, Re-schedule, Edit the appointment, or use the ... menu to mark the customer as arrived or to cancel the appointment. When an appointment is late, a No Show button is also shown.

The Appointments panel is available when the Appointment Manager is enabled for your account. If you use Apple's GSX Appointment Scheduler, reservations made through Apple are shown in the same panel. Accounts without the Appointment Manager see the AASP Appointment Scheduler reservation count in this position instead. Contact Fixably support if you would like the Appointment Manager enabled.
Bottom Section
In queues - Displays the total number of orders in each queue, per service location, waiting to be assigned to a technician. Click a number to open the list of those orders.
Your open orders - Below the queues, Fixably lists the open orders assigned to you, with the device, customer, status, time in queue and service location. Use the cog menu at the end of a row for quick actions.

Support Ticket - If you have a question, need help with an issue or have a great idea, send a request directly to our Customer Support team. This button is visible at all times at the bottom left of the screen.
Build vX.XX - Shows the current version of Fixably at the bottom right of the screen.
